Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology (PJA) University was founded in 1994 by the Foundation for the Development of Information Technology, which implemented an agreement between the governments of Poland and Japan in 1993. PJA University was granted the right to award a doctoral degree in technical sciences in the discipline of mechanics.
By the decision of the Minister of National Education, PJA University was entered into the register of universities under number 51 in 1994.
In the ranking of the weekly Wprost, the academy was ranked third among non-state universities and fifth in general, as the university most respected by employers. The ranking is based on a survey of 500 largest companies in Poland.
The team Level UP of PJA University came in second in the final of the national Imagine Cup 2014 in the Innovation category.
PJA University is the main collaborative partner with EEC Myanmar. EMBA/MBA programs offered by EEC Myanmar are certified by PJA University. Students undertaking B.Sc Computer Science Engineering can continue their studies at the Warsaw Campus of PJA University and graduate with a Master of Science.
The campus offers spacious classrooms and lecture theatres, computer labs, as well as the university’s extensive library.

Students of PJAIT can pass part of their study period abroad – in a frame of the ERASMUS+ program (EU) or bilateral agreements between PJAIT and Japanese partner universities.
The benefits include contact with another culture and language, making new friends and gaining a broader perspective at one’s field of study. The visits can span from 3 months up to a full academic year per each level of study. The Erasmus+ scholarship can be obtained for a semester max per each level of study.
