MA in English at Warsaw University, MA in Sociology at the State University of New York at
Stonybrook. A teacher of English and a sociologist by training. He completed his formal primary
and secondary education in the UK and USA, has taught at American and Polish Universities.
Coordinated efforts in developing American Studies Center at Warsaw University – today a
key research and academic center for American Studies in Europe.
He has translated several books and numerous scientific studies into English. Served as
interpreter with United Nations Emergency Force in the Middle East (1977). After the economic
and political transformation that took place in Poland in the early 1990’s he was among the
pioneers of the newly emerging advertising industry. Has since worked in executive positions in
international corporations (McCann‐Erickson International Advertising, Pan American
Airways, Bacardi‐Martini) developing and implementing marketing communication strategies
He also works for Berlitz and Brookfield Global Relocation Services as an independent
consultant and cross‐cultural trainee.
